| Summary, etc. | Cet article s’intéresse aux effets de la pollution atmosphérique sur les taux d’incidence et de surmortalité liés à la COVID-19 dans 96 départements français. L’analyse exploratoire montre une certaine hétérogénéité et autocorrélation spatiale du virus et de ses conséquences. Nos résultats indiquent d’une part, que la pollution atmosphérique joue un rôle de catalyseur du taux d’incidence, toutefois, ces particules fines (PM2,5) ne présentent pas d’effets significatifs sur le taux de surmortalité. D’autre part, la taille et la part des résidences principales dans l’offre de logements départementale ainsi que la densité démographique impactent significativement le taux d’incidence. | Summary, etc. | This article examines the effects of air pollution on the incidence and excess mortality rate linked to COVID-19 in 96 French departments. Exploratory analysis shows some spatial heterogeneity and autocorrelation of the virus and its consequences. Our results indicate on the one hand, that air pollution plays a catalyst role in the incidence rate, however, these fine particles (PM2.5) do not show significant effects on the excess mortality rate. On the other hand, the size and share of main residences in the departmental housing supply as well as the population density significantly impact the incidence rate. |

| Summary, etc. | Este artículo examina los efectos de la contaminación atmosférica en las tasas de incidencia y exceso de mortalidad asociadas al COVID-19 en 96 departamentos franceses. El análisis exploratorio muestra cierto grado de heterogeneidad y autocorrelación espacial del virus y sus consecuencias. Nuestros resultados indican, por una parte, que la contaminación atmosférica desempeña un papel catalizador en la tasa de incidencia, pero que las partículas finas (PM2,5) no tienen un efecto significativo en la tasa de exceso de mortalidad. Por otra parte, el tamaño y la proporción de las viviendas principales en la oferta de viviendas del departamento, así como la densidad demográfica, tienen un impacto significativo en la tasa de incidencia. |
