| Summary, etc. | La relation d’aide peut être vue comme une démarche s’appuyant sur la négociation des expertises entre un intervenant et une personne pour lui permettre de développer des stratégies efficaces dans sa situation. Ces deux notions seront explorées afin de mettre en valeur leur plus-value dans l’intervention, mais également les conditions nécessaires à leur mise en œuvre. Les expériences en cours menées par des praticiens de terrain dans différents secteurs et avec des publics variés témoignent de l’intérêt d’une approche stratégique fondée sur la négociation à toutes les étapes du processus d’aide. Ces expérimentations montrent que des alternatives existent pour aider « autrement » les personnes, afin qu’elles puissent s’attribuer le mérite du changement qu’elles visent. |

| Summary, etc. | The support relationship can be viewed as an approach based on an exchange of expertise between the support provider and a given person, enabling the latter to develop efficient strategies to handle a situation. The notions involved will be explored in this article, in order to underscore their added value and the prerequisites for their application. Current experiences by practitioners in the field in different areas and with a variety of beneficiaries, demonstrate the value of a strategic approach involving exchanges of expertise at all stages of the support process. These experiences show that alternatives exist to provide support in a manner such that the beneficiary feels the merit of the change is his or her own. |
