| Summary, etc. | Les représentations de l’économie sociale et solidaire ( ess) chez les travailleurs sociaux sont très contrastées. Certains s’en prévalent pour accélérer une évolution entrepreneuriale des structures qu’ils dirigent dans le secteur social et médico-social ; ils s’opposent à ceux qui y voient une managérialisation de l’action sociale. Mais d’autres encore considèrent que l’inscription dans l’ ess peut faciliter l’évolution vers une plus grande participation des usagers, favorisant une démocratisation de l’intervention sociale.Cette contribution cherche à expliquer cette confusion par le fait que l’ ess est un compromis stratégique et politique. Cette alliance utile dans le rapport de forces avec les politiques publiques ne doit pas faire oublier l’existence de deux théories distinctes, celle de l’économie sociale et celle de l’économie solidaire. La référence implicite à l’une ou l’autre explique largement les différences qui s’expriment. Il importe donc de préciser les implications de chacune d’entre elles. |

| Summary, etc. | The perceptions of the social and solidarity economy ( sse) among social workers are very varied. Some call upon them to accelerate an entrepreneurial evolution of the structures they lead in the social and medico-social sector; they oppose those who see it as a managerialization of social action. But still others consider that enrolment in the sse can facilitate the evolution towards greater user participation, promoting a democratization of social intervention.This contribution seeks to explain this confusion by the fact that sse is a strategic and political compromise. This useful alliance in the balance of power with public policies must not make us forget the existence of two distinct theories, that of the social economy and that of the solidarity economy. The implicit reference to one or the other largely explains the differences that are expressed. It is therefore important to specify the implications of each of them. |
