| Summary, etc. | Le secteur de l’accueil en établissements des personnes vieillissantes est passé, à partir des années 1980-1990, d’un marché « captif » à un marché « concurrentiel ».Il est donc important de comprendre les raisons qui ont conduit à ce changement et de s’interroger sur la manière dont les pratiques concurrentielles se matérialisent, aujourd’hui, entre les trois principaux secteurs qui composent ce marché, à savoir le secteur public, le secteur privé solidaire, acteurs historiques, et le secteur privé commercial, en privilégiant les deux catégories institutionnelles majeures de l’hébergement des personnes vieillissantes : pour celles qui sont autonomes en résidences autonomie ; et pour celles en perte d’autonomie, voire dépendantes, en établissements d’hébergement pour personnes âgées dépendantes ( ehpad). |

| Summary, etc. | The institutional care sector for the ageing population moved from a “captive” market to a “competitive” market from the 1980/1990’s onwards.It is therefore important to understand the reasons that led to this change and to question how competitive practices are nowadays materialising between the three main sectors that make up this market, i.e. the public and private non-profit sectors, the historical players, as well as the private commercial sector. The article focusses on on the two major institutional categories of accommodation those for autonomous ageing people: Autonomy Residences and those in a process of loss of autonomy, or very dependent ; institutions for dependent elderly people ( ehpad). |
