| Summary, etc. | Le secteur de l’accueil des jeunes enfants est particulièrement concurrentiel. Le nombre de places créées par des prestataires privés du secteur marchand représente 18 % des berceaux et 80 % des nouvelles places ouvertes entre 2012 et 2018. Bien que très encadré et soutenu par l’État, l’accès aux modes d’accueil est assez inégal selon les territoires. À partir de l’expérience de l’ udaf Paris, cet article met en évidence les compétences que doivent développer les associations et prestataires privés pour répondre aux enjeux actuels et à venir de ce système d’accueil : enjeux d’innovation, de gestion et de professionnalisation. |

| Summary, etc. | The early childhood care sector is particularly competitive. The capacity of private providers in the commercial sector represents 18 % of all cradles and 80 % of new childcare places opened between 2012 and 2018. Although highly supervised and supported by the State, access to childcare is quite unequal accross thte territories. Based on the experience of udaf Paris, this article highlights the skills that associations and private service providers need to develop in order to meet the current and future challenges of this reception system: challenges of innovation, management and professionalisation. |
