Summary, etc. | Tandis que la littérature scientifique et institutionnelle pointe régulièrement l’inadéquation de la formation des professionnels de la protection de l’enfance aux exigences du secteur, tant sur le plan managérial que sur celui des pratiques, les évolutions attendues peinent à se concrétiser. Dans un contexte de transformation profonde du dispositif de protection de l’enfance, poussée par un cadre législatif renouvelé et l’apport croissant de connaissances sur l’enfant et son développement, comment repenser la formation des cadres et des travailleurs sociaux comme levier d’amélioration de l’intervention conduite auprès des familles, mais aussi des conditions d’exercice des professionnels ? Porteur d’une politique volontariste en matière d’accompagnement des acteurs de terrain, le département du Nord fait le pari d’une meilleure prise en compte des spécificités de cette mission dans l’organisation des formations, mais plus encore de réconcilier ces dernières avec la recherche et les pratiques professionnelles. |

As recent legislative and regulatory developments and increasing knowledge of child development have deeply changed the child welfare policy, how to adapt managers and social workers support and training? The French largest local authority with competence for child protection – département du Nord set an ambitious agenda for an intervention and skills-based training. Striving for professional practices improvement, staff retention and professional burn-out prevention, this agenda builds on structural and organisational changes and the development of evidence-based practice. |
