| Summary, etc. | Le 15 juin 1976, le Tribunal fédéral (TF) helvétique décide de débouter le Servette de Genève, l’un des clubs phares du football suisse de l’époque. En été 1972, la formation genevoise est accusée par un de ses joueurs, Georges Perroud, alors en fin de contrat, de l’empêcher de conclure une entente avec un autre club de l’élite. Le but de cette recherche consiste à étudier les enjeux et les conséquences de « l’affaire Perroud » sur le football suisse d’élite. L’article s’intéresse aux conditions favorables à la transformation d’une situation conflictuelle en une affaire judiciaire et évoque le rôle majeur de celle-ci dans la légalisation du professionnalisme. |

| Summary, etc. | On June 15, 1976, the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland decided to dismiss the case of Servette de Genève, one of the leading Swiss football clubs at the time. In the summer of 1972, one of the players of the Geneva-based club, Georges Perroud—at the end of his contract at the time—accused Servette of preventing him from concluding an agreement with another elite club. The aim of this research is to study the stakes and the consequences of the “Perroud Affair” on elite-level soccer in Switzerland. In particular, it looks at the conditions that were favorable to transforming the conflict into legal proceedings and describes the latter’s significant consequences on the legalization of professionalism in sport. |
