| Summary, etc. | Éléments constitutifs de l’arsenal des groupes de supporters, les drapeaux occupent une place importante dans les tribunes des stades de football, comme celles des Girondins de Bordeaux. Appui au soutien de l’équipe dès les années 1950, ils prennent une place de plus en plus importante aux yeux des supporters dans les années 1970 et 1980, accompagnant la constitution de groupes et d’associations de supporters. Dès lors, ils deviennent un support d’identités multiples : identité du club, identité de la ville, identité des groupes de supporters. Palimpsestes de références, ils expriment des engagements sportifs, politiques et identitaires dans l’espace-temps du match et du stade. Par ailleurs, le club, tant dans un souci d’ambiance que dans son offre de produits dérivés, propose également des drapeaux aux références multiples, s’inspirant de ceux des groupes de supporters. |

Supporting the team since the 1950s, they took on an increasingly important role for supporters in the 1970s and 1980s, accompanying the formation of supporters’ groups and associations. From then on, they became a medium for multiple identities: the identity of the club, the identity of the city, the identity of the supporters’ groups. Palimpsests of references, they express sporting, political and identity commitments in the space-time of the match and the stadium. The club also offers flags with multiple references, inspired by the flags of supporters’ groups, both to enhance the atmosphere and as part of its range of merchandising. |
