| Summary, etc. | L’enquête menée entend contribuer à une histoire sociale de la science politique française au travers d’un cycle de formation doctorale : celui mis en place par la Fondation nationale des sciences politiques (FNSP) à l’Institut d’études politiques (IEP) de Paris au milieu des années 1950 sous le nom de « cycle supérieur d’études politiques ». La création de ce cycle, comme les choix pédagogiques qui y sont associés, permet de retracer les conflits institutionnels qui existent à cette époque entre la FNSP, née en 1945, et le monde des facultés de droit (notoirement celle de Paris) qui entendent revendiquer alors le monopole de l’enseignement de la science politique en France. |

| Summary, etc. | This study aims to contribute to a social history of French political science by focusing on the doctoral training cycle set up in the mid-1950s by the Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques (FNSP) at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (IEP) entitled “graduate cycle of political studies.” The creation of this cycle, and the pedagogical choices associated with it, provide an opportunity to retrace the institutional conflicts of the time between the FNSP, founded in 1945, and the country’s constellation of law faculties already in place (notably the Paris faculty), which intended to claim a monopoly on the teaching of political science in France. |
