| Summary, etc. | Dans l’Italie en guerre des années 1943-1945, les femmes trouvent de nouveaux espaces d’action au service de la République sociale italienne de Mussolini. Elles sont employées dans le Service auxiliaire féminin, dans les groupes paramilitaires des Brigades noires, dans les bureaux de police, comme espionnes professionnelles et multiplient les actes de délinquance. Après la guerre, accusées de « collaborationnisme » avec l’envahisseur allemand, elles sont jugées par des tribunaux spéciaux (cours d’assises extraordinaires) et, parmi elles, une dizaine sont condamnées à mort. Aucune condamnation à mort n’est exécutée, la quasi-totalité des femmes retrouvant la liberté après quelques années à la suite de procès en révision ou d’amnisties. L’article retrace à la fois leurs histoires, leurs actions criminelles, leurs motivations et leurs justifications des choix effectués, mais aussi les décisions de justice qui ont conduit aux condamnations, ainsi que la présence de stéréotypes de genre dans le discours juridique et la défense des accusées. |

| Summary, etc. | In the war-torn Italy of 1943–1945, women found new sectors of action in the service of Mussolini’s Italian Social Republic. They were employed in the Women’s Auxiliary Service, in the paramilitary groups of the Black Brigades, in police offices and as professional spies; they were involved in a growing number of crimes. After the war, accused of “collaborating” with the invading German forces, they were tried by extraordinary criminal courts (cours d’assises extraordinaires), and ten women were sentenced to death. None of the death sentences were ever carried out, and almost all the women were released after a few years, following retrials or amnesties. This article examines their history, their criminal actions, their motivations, and their justifications for the choices they made, as well as the legal decisions that led to their convictions and the presence of gender stereotypes in the legal discourse and the defense of the accused. |
