| Summary, etc. | This article presents the new issues facing historians working on memory in the 21st century, in an institutional context that has become unfavorable. Memory itself has become a “natural” framework for policy action, socio-cultural practices and the unsderstanding of the present. It therefore seems necessary to question the role of historians as well as the category of “traumatic event” in the analysis of the biopolitics of memory supposed to heal a tested society and to prevent the return of catastrophes. |

| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente les nouveaux enjeux auxquels sont confrontés les historiens travaillant sur la mémoire au/du 21e siècle dans un contexte institutionnel devenu défavorable. La mémoire est devenue elle-même un cadre « naturel » d’action politique, de pratiques socio-culturelles et d’intelligibilité du présent. Il apparaît ainsi nécessaire de questionner le rôle des historiens comme la catégorie d’« événement traumatique » dans l’analyse des biopolitiques mémorielles censées guérir une société éprouvée et conjurer le retour des catastrophes. |
