| Summary, etc. | Cet article montre le travail d’organismes professionnels en médecine chinoise pour reconfigurer les rapports de pouvoir aux frontières internes (entre les médecins acupuncteurs), et externes (entre les thérapeutes en médecine chinoise n’ayant pas de titre officiel de médecine) du champ médical. Les positionnements des différents groupes d’acteurs en concurrence dans la pratique de la médecine chinoise sont analysés autour de trois processus conduits par les organismes professionnels qui les représentent. D’une part, la création d’une juridiction propre par les médecins acupuncteurs qui revendiquent une compétence spécifique et mettent en place des « barrières à l’entrée ». D’autre part, la contestation du pouvoir médical par le travail d’organisations professionnelles de praticiens dans le but de professionnaliser et institutionnaliser une « nouvelle profession de santé » autonome. Enfin, une position plus intermédiaire reproduisant la structure professionnelle médicale existante en intégrant les nouveaux entrants dans le champ médical sans en modifier les règles du jeu. |

| Summary, etc. | This contribution shows the work led by Chinese medicine professional organizations in order to reconfigure the medical field’s balances of power within internal frontiers (through M.D. acupuncture practitioners), and along external ones (through therapists in Chinese medicine who do not hold an official medical degree). Positions of different competing actors within Chinese medical practice are analyzed through three processes. First, the creation of a M.D. acupuncture practitioners’ jurisdiction, who claim the ownership of specific skills and impose “strong barriers to entry”. Second, the position of practitioners from professional organizations who contest the medical power and whose aim is to professionalize and institutionalize an autonomous “new health profession”. Finally, a more intermediate position which reproduces existing professional structures, integrating newcomers without changing the rules of the game. |
