| Summary, etc. | L’engagement militant pour la décroissance renvoie à un ensemble de prises de position qui se situent à l’encontre de l’idéologie consumériste. En rejetant la croissance économique, les militants pour la décroissance tentent d’organiser leur mode de vie en fonction de leurs convictions. Dès lors, leur volonté de se défaire de la « société de consommation » les incite à « faire pour la décroissance ». Cependant, si ces actes, à la fois de résistance et de démonstration, témoignent de cette volonté d’agir nécessaire à la production et au maintien de l’identité militante, il convient de considérer les conditions de possibilité de leur expression. Aussi, cet article vise à mettre en lumière les inégalités qui se tissent entre les militants dès lors qu’ils cherchent à se conformer à l’idéal du « vrai » militant pour la décroissance. |

| Summary, etc. | “Doing differently”The commitment to degrowth refers to a set of positions that are at odds with consumerist ideology. By rejecting economic growth, activists for degrowth attempt to organize their way of life according to their convictions. Their desire to get rid of the “consumer society” prompts them to “do for degrowth”. However, if these acts, both of resistance and of demonstration, testify to the will to act in order to produce and maintain the activist identity, we must consider the conditions of possibility of their expression. This article aims at highlighting the inequalities between militants when they seek to conform to the ideal of the “true” militant for degrowth. |
