Comment fait-on accepter un niveau de rémunération globalement moindre que pour d’autres fonctions équivalentes dans d’autres entreprises ? Les auteurs de l’article répondent à ces deux questions en mobilisant une enquête par entretiens et observations au sein d’une école de formation aux métiers de l’informatique. L’étude permet de retracer la construction d’une grille salariale, venant distinguer les rémunérations selon le statut (bénévole, stagiaire, CDD, CDI, fondateurs) et selon le niveau de technicité informatique du poste tenu. Des formes plurielles de justification sont ensuite analysées. Trois principes de justification rendent acceptables des salaires plus faibles que dans d’autres entreprises : la vocation, la passion, l’utilité. |

To answer those questions, a sociological survey is presented, based on interviews and observations, in a computer programming school. In the digital sector, workers contest the need and the existence of rules. However, the article shows how wage rules are made according to status (volunteer, trainee, fixed-term contracts, long-term contracts, founders) and work content (technical or not). Then, three registers of justification are presented to explain why workers agree with those wage rules : vocation, passion, utility. |
