| Summary, etc. | L’article interroge le rôle de la consultation gynécologique dans la socialisation des jeunes femmes à la sexualité en partant d’un apparent paradoxe : alors que la sexualité fait partie des compétences de la gynécologie médicale, il n’en est apparemment que peu question en consultation. Nous verrons que la sexualité est moins effacée que reconfigurée dans ce cadre. Ainsi, la consultation gynécologique socialise principalement à une vision médicale de la sexualité, qui doit être contraceptée et dont les conséquences potentielles (grossesses non prévues, infections sexuellement transmissibles [IST]) doivent être constamment prévenues et ponctuellement dépistées. Quand la sexualité est abordée plus directement par le biais de la sexologie, même si cela demeure minoritaire, le discours adopté par les professionnelles de santé obéit alors à des représentations profanes. Dans un cas comme dans l’autre, ce qui est marquant est que la sexualité est abordée par le biais de normes, mais qui ne sont pas de même nature – normes médicales et professionnelles dans le cas de la contraception et du dépistage, et normes profanes dans le cas de la sexologie. Mais quelle que soit leur nature, elles viennent en définitive renforcer les normes de genre et de sexualité dominantes dans la société. |

| Summary, etc. | In this paper, we examine the role of gynecological consultations in the socialisation of young women to sexuality, starting from a paradox: while sexuality is part of the competencies of medical gynecology, it is apparently only rarely discussed. Sexuality is not so much erased as reconfigured. The gynecological consultation mainly socialises women to a medical vision of sexuality, which must be contracepted and whose potential consequences (unplanned pregnancies, STIs) must constantly be prevented and punctually checked. When sexuality is addressed more directly through sexology, even though it is rare, the discourse adopted by health professionals is based on lay representations. In both cases, what is striking is that sexuality is addressed through norms, but they are not of the same nature – medical and professional norms in the case of contraception and prevention, and lay norms in the case of sexology. But whatever the nature of these norms, they ultimately reinforce the dominant norms of gender and sexuality in society. |
