| Summary, etc. | Avec le projet politique de l’« économie de la connaissance », former les doctorants à devenir gestionnaires et managers est devenu un objectif des institutions d’enseignement supérieur et de recherche. Dans ce cadre, de nombreux dispositifs ont été mis en place, dont les Doctoriales®, qui regroupent des apprentis-chercheurs pendant plusieurs jours autour de business games et de conférences, en vue de les inciter à considérer leur doctorat comme une somme d’expériences à valoriser sur les marchés de l’emploi davantage que comme une période de formation à la recherche par la recherche. À partir d’une enquête par observation participante, cet article analyse précisément l’un des outils mobilisés par les conférenciers au cours des Doctoriales® : le benchmarking biographique. Par le biais de cet outil discursif où sont incarnées et comparées des figures doctorales d’échec et de réussite, les intervenants invitent les stagiaires à réfléchir aux moyens de mener leur trajectoire dans ce qui pourrait ressembler à des « carrières nomades » en rupture avec l’ ethos scientifique. |

| Summary, etc. | With the political project of the “knowledge economy”, training PhD students who want to become managers has become a goal for higher education and research institutions. In this context, many systems have been put in place, including Doctoriales®, which bring together “learner” researchers for several days around business games and conferences, in order to encourage them to consider their PhD as a sum of experiences to be valued on the labor markets more than as a period of research training through research. Based on a survey by participant observation, this article analyzes precisely one of the tools used by the lecturers during the Doctoriales®: biographical benchmarking. Thanks to this discursive tool in which doctoral figures of failure and success are embodied and compared, the speakers invite the trainees to think about the means of leading their trajectory through “nomadic careers” breaking with the scientific ethos. |

| Summary, etc. | Con el proyecto político de la « economía del conocimiento », formar estudiantes de doctorado para que se conviertan en gerentes o directores de empresa (“ managers”) se ha convertido en un objetivo de las instituciones de educación superior e investigación. En este contexto, se han puesto en marcha muchos sistemas, entre ellos las Doctoriales®, que reúnen a investigadores jóvenes durante varios días en torno a juegos de empresa (“ business games”) y conferencias, con el fin de incitarlos a considerar su doctorado como una suma de experiencias qui tienen que ser valorizadas en el mercado laboral más que como un período de formación a la investigación a través de la investigación. A partir de una encuesta por observación participante, este artículo analiza precisamente una de las herramientas utilizadas por los profesores durante las Doctoriales®: el benchmarking biográfico. A través de esta herramienta discursiva en la que se presentan y se comparan figuras doctorales de fracaso y éxito, los ponentes invitan a los estudiantes a reflexionar sobre los medios de organización de sus trayectorias en lo que podría asemejarse a “carreras nómadas” rompiendo con el ethos científico. |
