Le texte freudien offre parfois l’occasion de restituer à cette figure du discours sa valeur fondatrice. C’est le cas ici, où sont examinés différents usages de l’analogie dans la pensée de Freud. La fécondité de ce raisonnement est particulièrement mise en valeur à propos des rapprochements entre les postures médicale et psychanalytique. Le contexte actuel de mise en cause de la psychanalyse donne un relief inattendu à cette réflexion, ne serait-ce qu’en démasquant les approximations de certains arguments mobilisés à l’occasion. |

| Summary, etc. | The Use of Analogy in Freud’s Argumentations Using analogy to argument an idea is often deviated from its heuristic function to serve a more restrictive one. Freud’s texts sometimes provide opportunities for the analogy to be reinstated with its original value. This article examines different uses of analogies in Freud’s works and highlights the fecundity of his argumentations with particular respect to analogies established between medical and psychoanalytical positions. The current criticism levelled at psychoanalysis gives unexpected depth to these considerations and serves also to reveal the highly approximate nature of some of the arguments used to formulate this criticism. |
