| Summary, etc. | Une question est essentielle pour la psychanalyse aujourd’hui, même si elle passe bien souvent inaperçue : la violence faite à la langue, chaque fois qu’il est question qu’une langue dominante en colonise une autre. L’usage de la langue, sous effet de terreur historique et de violence politique des langues « dominantes », est toujours à rapporter à l’usage des corps utilisés, violentés, déprivés, expulsés de toute mémoire, de toute histoire, livrés à la désintrication pulsionnelle non refoulée. Car c’est à l’intérieur de la langue que viennent se rejouer les enjeux politiques de pouvoir et de dominance, reproduisant dans les parlers les violences d’exclusion, de rejet et de meurtre qui s’exercent sur les personnes. À quelles conditions, la psychanalyse est-elle encore le lieu privilégié pour accueillir et rendre possible la capacité à s’inventer une langue de la résistance qui « dirait » entre les mots interdits, les gestes, les rythmes, les mouvements et les chants d’une mémoire bannie, prohibée, passée en contrebande, transmise dans l’illégalité ? Comment la psychanalyse, au prix d’un retour sur ses propres violences de langue, peut-elle rendre les mots de l’effroi enfin accessibles, retrouver les accents de la langue exilée, bannie, honteuse, se décoller de la honte muette à l’aide de la langue honteuse ? |

| Summary, etc. | Violence Done to Language Psychoanalysis is faced with a crucial question today, even if it often goes unnoticed. It is that of the violence done to language each time a dominant language colonises another one. Usage of language, influenced as it is by historical domination and the political violence ‘dominant’ languages wield, can always be closely related to the use and abuse of bodies exploited, violated, deprived, relegated from memory and history and then given over to unrepressed drive disintrication. For it is within the bounds of language that the forces of political power and domination are replayed, reproducing in speech the violence of exclusion, rejection and unlawful killing inflicted on people. To what extent can psychoanalysis still be that privileged space in which the conditions for inventing a language of resistance be provided, making it possible to invent a language which would ‘speak out’ between the lines of proscribed words and express the gestures, rhythms, movements and melodies of banished, prohibited memories that have been smuggled down through the generations. How can psychoanalysis, obliged as it may therefore be to take a critical look at the damage it itself does to language, allow the language of fear and dread to once again become accessible, uncovering the intonations of a language in exile, banished and shrouded in guilt and break free from this silent guilt by rediscovering and reusing the language of guilt itself ? |
