| Summary, etc. | Le statut de la psychanalyse en France a fait l’objet de démarches et d’initiatives diverses, durant ces vingt dernières années. Une évolution capitale a eu lieu entre 1999 et 2007: on est passé du premier amendement Accoyer, en 1999, proposant de définir la psychothérapie dans la loi et dans le code de santé publique, à une inclusion dans la loi de la «psychothérapie psychanalytique», en 2001, pour enfin exclure de la loi toute référence à une psychothérapie analytique, en 2004. Le travail des associations représentées au Groupe de contact, les échanges fréquents et les rencontres régulières ont ainsi permis d’aboutir à un résultat peut-être historique: définir la psychanalyse comme discipline spécifique, ayant une place autonome et indépendante de la psychiatrie, de la psychologie et des psychothérapies. |

| Summary, etc. | The Status and Regulation of Psychoanalysis in Europe The status of psychoanalysis in France has been the object of a whole variety of different processes and initiatives over the past twenty years. The key period in this respect was from 1999 to 2007. These years marked the transition from the first Accoyer amendment in 1999, which suggested defining psychotherapy within the framework of the law and public health statutes to including within the law the field of ‘psychoanalytical psychotherapy’, in 2001, before finally excluding all reference to analytical psychotherapy in 2004. The associations present in the official Contact Group have then, through their frequent debates and discussions achieved what may well be a historic result – that of defining psychoanalysis as a specific discipline enjoying an autonomous position independent of psychiatry, psychology and psychotherapies. |
