Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | When fathers kill sons In the name of political, economic and personal interest, adults expect young people to go to war for them. This happens in both industrialised and developing countries. In this war of father against father in which it is the ‘sons’who are killed, the acting out of the sons corresponds to their desire to commit parricide. Involving young people in armed conflict means annihilating all hope for that human being’s future. War in this case can never and will never be just. But what about the aftermath of war, the moral dilemmas that raise their ugly heads once the fighting has ceased and mass crimes have been committed? Of general amnesty, denial or dismissal of the case, which is possible? Ineffaceable events close the door on grieving processes and kickstart the cycle of endless repetition of the initial conflict. If one wishes to avoid getting caught up in a grief that knows no end, one needs a third party, a witness to help in the slow work of subjective construction and reconstruction. |
