| Summary, etc. | L’auteur propose de parler de la psychanalyse en Tunisie sous les angles à la fois historique, pratique et théorique. Il situe cela par rapport à un contexte socio-culturel et historique précis (les années coloniales et les années post-coloniales). Tout en mettant l’accent sur les difficultés et les limites méthodologiques d’une telle démarche, il fait l’effort de développer et de dévoiler pour la première fois des aspects ignorés jusque-là de cette histoire. Il expose ensuite un état actuel des lieux qui ne peut en aucune manière être exhaustif. Il soulève enfin des questions d’ordre théorico-cliniques pouvant permettre de comprendre les résistances à la psychanalyse dans l’univers arabo-musulman. |

| Summary, etc. | Psychoanalysis in Tunisia. Historical Perspectives and the Situation Today This article explores the question of psychoanalysis in Tunisia from the multiple perspective of history, practice and theory, and this within the precise socio-cultural and historical context of the colonial period and immediate post-colonial years. While conscious of the methodological limits and inherent difficulties in such an approach, new light will however be shed on hitherto unexplored or overlooked aspects of the history of analysis in Tunisia. After moving on to establish a picture of the situation today, in as comprehensive a manner as possible, we will raise a number of theoretical and clinical questions which might provide possible answers to the resistance to psychoanalysis across the Arab and Muslim world. |
