| Summary, etc. | Paru en 2009, l’ouvrage d’Élisabeth Geblesco Un amour de transfert. Journal de mon contrôle avec Lacan (1974-1981) offre l’occasion de s’interroger sur les raisons qui ont conduit ce contrôle à ne jamais virer à l’analyse, alors même qu’il s’agissait bel et bien aussi de cela. Ce non-passage à l’analyse a tenu à la sorte d’amour qu’une princesse éprouve pour un savant, à cet amour échange qu’évoque Platon, via Pausanias, dans son Banquet. Un tel amour exclusif, infaillible, éternel, laisse fort peu de chances à l’analyse. Et ces chances sont encore réduites dès lors que, traitant de puissance à puissance comme l’exige l’échange, rien ne vient séparer enjeux analytiques et enjeux institutionnels, ceux-ci s’opposant à ceux-là et les desservant. |

| Summary, etc. | The Princess, the Sage and Analysi Élisabeth Geblesco’s book published in 2009 and entitled Un Amour de Transfert. Journal de mon Contrôle avec Lacan (1974-1981) invites us to examine the reasons for which this control analysis never turned into an analysis proper, when quite clearly this was indeed what was also going on. The type of love which caused this is akin to that which a princess feels for a sage, like the love given in exchange for wisdom and virtue expressed by Pausanias in Plato’s Banquet. Such a love is exclusive, unfaltering and eternal, and thereby leaves little chance for analysis to take place. And the chances are even slimmer if, as exchange would have it, one power is in direct relation with another and nothing acts to separate the analytical and institutional stakes at play, with the latter opposing the former and doing a disservice to both. |
