| Summary, etc. | Cette contribution illustre, à l’aide d’un cas concret, les intérêts que peuvent présenter l’identification et l’analyse des représentations linguistiques des apprenants de langue pour les processus d’enseignement-apprentissage et d’acquisition linguistique. Il s’agit d’une étude multilingue réalisée auprès d’étudiants de langues en contexte universitaire à Bruxelles. L’étude en question, qui combine les approches quantitative et qualitative, a permis de mettre en lumière les représentations linguistiques des participants concernant dix-neuf langues, autant dans leurs tendances générales que dans leurs formes marquées par l’expérience individuelle. Cet article propose une méthodologie d’identification et de traitement des représentations linguistiques d’une part, et diverses utilisations des informations récoltées d’autre part, et ce du point de vue du professeur de langue et du didacticien. |

| Summary, etc. | This contribution illustrates the relevance of the identification and analysis of language learners’ linguistic representations for the language teaching and language acquisition processes. It is based on a multilingual case study conducted amongst academic language students in Brussels. This study sheds light on the participants’ linguistic representations regarding nineteen languages. Thanks to a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches, both general tendencies as well as forms of representations marked by individual experience emerged. This article proposes, on the one hand, a methodology for identifying and analyzing linguistic representations and, on the other hand, various uses of the gathered information from the point of view of language teachers and didacticians. |
