520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The description of the mechanism of projective identification in Melanie Klein has allowed important theoretical and clinical advances to be made in the field of psychosis. However, faced with the phenomena of echolalia and echopraxia in children with autism, post-Kleinians have had to question some of her assumptions, such as the notion of early ego as given from the outset. This article examines the extension of the concept of identification in post-Kleinian theory - from projective identification to adhesive identification - and its theoretical and clinical implications in connection with the issue of autism.
