Summary, etc. Cette contribution se propose de présenter cinq inscriptions arabo-chrétiennes retraçant l’histoire récente de trois églises du village de Mishirfeh près de Homs. L’histoire de ces églises forme un récit qui résume un épisode de la vie d’une communauté chrétienne orthodoxe dans l’Emésène orientale, sur plus de 150 années. Ce travail est aussi l’occasion d’une réflexion et d’un dialogue entre l’archéologie et les contraintes imposées au moment des fouilles archéologiques.

Summary, etc. This contribution proposes a presentation of five Arab-Christian inscriptions that traces the recent history of three churches in the village of Mishirfeh near Homs. The history of these churches forms a narrative that summarizes an episode in the life of an Orthodox Christian community in the Eastern Emenus, over more than 150 years. This work is also an opportunity for a reflection and a dialogue between archaeology and the constraints imposed during archaeological excavations.
