| Summary, etc. | Le conservatisme est une idéologie moderne et occidentale tandis que le conservatisme en Turquie est une réaction contre la modernisation/occidentalisation. C’est pourquoi il est difficile de parler de l’existence du conservatisme dans les pays de la modernisation comme la Turquie. Ce qu’on peut appeler le conservatisme dans ces types de pays est une sorte de scepticisme envers la modernisation qui se nourrit de religiosité et de traditionalisme. La question de modernité/modernisation et sa relation avec conservatisme peut être analysé dans l’axe de sécularité/laïcité. |

| Summary, etc. | Conservatism is a modern, Western ideology which in Turkey is expressed as a reaction both against modernisation and Westernisation. This is what makes it so difficult to speak about the existence of conservatism in countries such as Turkey where modernisation is in in progress. What may be to referred to as conservatism in countries such as these is a form of scepticism towards modernisation fuelled by religiosity and traditionalism. The question of modernity/modernisation and its relation with conservatism may be analysed from the perspective of secularity/secularism. |
