520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. J.-L.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Artist and painter J.-L. David was the great organiser of the revolutionary festivities held between 1792 and 1794 and E. Cabet was the author of a Communist utopian novel entitled ‘Voyage en Icarie’, published in 1840 and seeking to win over the public by means of political propaganda. Representations of the maternal imago play a key role in the work of both men, thereby raising the question of what psychoanalysis has to offer us in terms of understanding such historical episodes, notably from the perspective of approaches to myths and utopia.
