| Summary, etc. | Nous assistons à l’influence croissante, défavorable de l’idéologie de l’économie de marché et de « sa valeur travail » sur la subjectivité des individus, qui est modifiée dans ses trois dimensions : topique, économique et dynamique. Cette économie impose en effet aux individus son surmoi collectif dans les secteurs de l’entreprise et de la politique, mais aussi dans le champ de la santé mentale où ses concepts s’appliquent. Les valeurs de l’économie de marché infiltrent le discours et les pratiques des soignants et l’on voit se développer des pratiques thérapeutiques de réhabilitation professionnelle, rééducatives et adaptatives, cognitivo-comportementales. Si la valeur du travail dans la vie du sujet n’est plus à démontrer, la demande faite aux soignants de réadapter au milieu professionnel les patients présentant des troubles psychiques est à questionner. De même, on peut déplorer la conception réductrice de la psyché et la théorie réifiante du sujet, qui sous-tendent des pratiques qui méconnaissent la dimension inconsciente des symptômes. Le discours circonscrit au conscient, au réel, subvertit le sujet de l’énonciation et l’intersubjectivité. Le sujet du moi et du conscient risque de remplacer le sujet freudien, sujet du désir, dans le champ de la santé mentale. |

| Summary, etc. | We can observe the increasing, negative influence of the ideology of the market economy and the importance it places on the ‘value of work’ on the subjectivity of individuals, impacting each of that subjectivity’s three dimensions – topical, economic and dynamic. The market economy imposes its collective superego on individuals in not only business and political sectors, but also in the field of mental health where its concepts also apply. The values of the market economy infiltrate the discourse and practice of healthcare workers, with, as a result, the clearly observable emergence of therapeutic practices in the field of professional reintegration which are at once re-educational, adaptive and cognitive behavioural in nature. While the value of work in a subject’s life is beyond contestation, the expectation placed on healthcare workers to readapt patients suffering from mental disorders to the work environment should be questioned. Similarly, the reductive conceptions of the psyche and reifying theories of the subject underpinning practices which overlook the unconscious dimension of symptoms should be deplored. Discourse confined to the conscious sphere and to reality subverts both the speaking subject and the dimension of inter-subjectivity. The subject of the ego and the conscious should not be allowed to replace the Freudian subject of desire within the field of mental health. |
