Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In this paper, methodological foundations and contemporary approaches to the analysis of interpersonal and interethnic relations are examined from the vantage point of comprehensive psychology, psychoanalysis and the idea of trans-generational transmission, together with other modern theories. The events which took place in Ukraine from 2013 to 2014 are analysed and the historical predispositions of anti-Russian attitudes in the post-Soviet area are explored. The author systematically describes the history of the formation of the Ukrainian nation and State from the 17th century onwards, when the country was a Polish protectorate, and explains the singular role of the Hetman of Ukraine, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, in the process of adhesion of Ukraine to Russia and how the Ukrainian nation became divided. The author describes the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact which, for the second time in its history, made of Ukraine a divided nation, and also the activity of the Ukrainian nationalists during the Second World War and, after its end, in Western Ukraine. The author goes into detail as to how the Ukrainian people rose up against corruption and the oligarchs in 2013 and how this ferment of popular anger was levelled against Russia. We will also examine the fact that the Russian people are also now divided, leading to the current tensions between Ukraine and Russia resulting from the collapse of the URSS. In conclusion, the author outlines ways of resolving this ethnic conflict. |
