Summary, etc. Qu’on parle d’insécurité, de brutalité ou de violence, qu’il s’agisse de ressenti ou de faits constatés, le malaise profond qui touche l’École en France aujourd’hui sape de façon très préoccupante le moral de ses acteurs, qu’ils soient élèves, professeurs ou parents. L’origine de cet état d’accablement et de découragement qui conduit à des comportements condamnables est à l’évidence multifactorielle. Ce constat met en évidence la perte d’une confiance partagée, laquelle permettait à l’institution de répondre à la mission qui lui était fixée depuis la fin du XIXe siècle. Repérer dans et hors l’école les causes de ce délitement et tenter d’y apporter quelques réponses sont l’objet de cet article.
