| Summary, etc. | À partir d’une enquête de terrain réalisée au sein d’une organisation de lutte contre le chômage, « Agir ensemble contre le chômage » (AC !), cet article analyse le potentiel transformateur et intégrateur de l’action collective des chômeurs, notamment pour ceux qui sont éloignés depuis plusieurs années du marché de l’emploi et ne disposent pas de socialisation militante. Si la participation à un collectif de chômeurs a pu être appréhendée comme un risque d’enfermement dans la condition de chômeur, l’enquête souligne qu’elle peut aussi se présenter comme un moyen de la modifier temporairement, du moins dans certains contextes. Ce processus repose sur des modes d’action qui renversent le stigmate. Il dépend plus largement du travail accompli dans ces univers militants qui s’accompagne de dynamiques de valorisation et d’affirmation de soi, pouvant parfois conduire à un redéploiement des trajectoires sociales et professionnelles. |

| Summary, etc. | ?Using data from an ethnographic study carried out in an organization that fights against unemployment, “Acting together against unemployment” (? ?“Agir ensemble contre le chômage”? ?, AC !), this article analyzes the transformative and integrative potentials of collective action of the unemployed, particularly for the long-term unemployed, without any militant socialization. Some studies had previously described the mobilization of the unemployed as a risk of imprisonment in a marginalized status. Conversely, the present study demonstrates that, in certain contexts and under certain conditions, it can be a way to temporarily change this status. These changes are made possible through some actions that reverse the stigma. More widely, militant work enables to grant the unemployed greater social value and to develop their empowerment. These processes may lead to the redeployment of social and professional trajectories.? |
