| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe souci de rendre hommage à Michel Foucault, tant à sa personne qu’à son œuvre, peut prendre plusieurs voies. Ici, j’en ai retenu deux. La première voie concerne le style même de Foucault, et plus précisément son style d’exposition. Foucault me semble avoir une écriture ou un style d’exposition très généreux, surtout dans ses cours au Collège de France. J’ai voulu ressaisir cette générosité et ses traits constitutifs. La seconde concerne plus un problème ou une notion, en l’occurrence celle d’autoformation ou de pratique d’autoformation. Les analyses que Foucault consacra à certaines techniques de lecture et d’écriture héritées de la philosophie hellénistique me semblent ainsi pouvoir y jeter une lumière originale. |

| Summary, etc. | The desire to pay tribute to Michel Foucault, both to him and to his work can take several forms. Here I have selected two. The first concerns Foucault’s very style, and more specifically his expository style. Foucault seems to me to have a very generous style of writing or style of exposition, especially in his series of lectures at the Collège de France. I wanted to provide an analysis of this generosity and of its constitutive traits. The second concerns more a problem or concept, namely that of self-training or the practice of self-study. The analyses that Foucault devoted to certain techniques of reading and writing inherited from Greek philosophy seem to me to throw a new, original light on these techniques. |
