Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Today, the debate on the immorality of Marx remains lively. We will show that far from being immoralists, Marx and Engels developed a new vision of morality based on historical materialism. According to them, morality arises from the economic relationships that people maintain with each other within society. From this perspective, morality cannot be considered without taking into account human existence. In doing so, morality is associated with the reality of human beings and the society in which they live. Moral education, which can contribute to the transformation of an active conscience within a society, must therefore place human beings at the center of all its concerns, emphasizing the role of the formation of a scientific mind in society. Thus, Marxist moral education overcomes obscurantism and the narrow limitations of class interests, clearly distinguishing itself from traditional moral education. In this sense, we will argue that Marx and Engels present a philosophy of humanistic and scientific education. |
