| Summary, etc. | La survenue de thrombose veineuse profonde (TVP) symptomatique du membre supérieur après implantation d’un pacemaker est une complication rare. Plusieurs facteurs favorisants sont identifiés. Le diagnostic repose sur des arguments cliniques, mais la confirmation est échographique même si la phlébographie reste le gold standard. Nous rapportons un cas de TVP après implantation de pacemaker double chambre, pour lequel le diagnostic a été posé par la répétition de l’écho-doppler veineux du membre supérieur. |

| Summary, etc. | Symptomatic upper extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after pacemaker implantation is a rare complication. Several contributing factors are identified. The diagnosis is based on clinical arguments, but confirmation is giving by ultrasound even venography remains the gold standard. We report a case of DVT after implantation of double chamber pacemaker in which the diagnosis was made by repeat venous ultrasound doppler of the upper limb. |
