| Summary, etc. | Les charpentes de l’Hôtel de Ville de Bruxelles ont fait l’objet en 2004 d’une première étude dendro-archéologique menée par l’Université de Liège. Elle a établi que les différentes toitures couvrant le bâtiment ont été édifiées au cours de la période de reconstruction qui a suivi le bombardement du centre-ville en 1695. Dans le cadre d’une convention entre la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale et le pôle de dendrochronologie ULg/IRPA, un complément d’analyse dendrochronologique des charpentes a été programmé début 2018 afin d’affiner la datation actuelle des structures. Une étude archéologique des éléments métalliques et un relevé des traces de la mise en œuvre des bois ont également été prévus, ceci afin d’améliorer notre connaissance de ces témoins du début du xviiie siècle. |

| Summary, etc. | In 2004, the roof frames of Brussels Town Hall were the subject of an initial dendro-archaeological study, conducted by the University of Liège. This established that the various roofs covering the building were erected during the reconstruction period following the bombardment of the city centre in 1695. Under the terms of an agreement between the Brussels-Capital Region and the ULg/KIK-IRPA dendrochronology centre, an additional dendrochronological analysis of the roof frames was arranged for early 2018 to refine the current dating of the structures. An archaeological study of the metallic elements and a survey of tool marks on the timbers have also been planned in order to improve our knowledge of this evidence from the early 18th century. |
