Recently, many papers have been published especially about specific subgroups who need curative treatment with the same modalities of proximal thrombosis due to a frequent relapsing, pulmonary embolism and post-thrombotic syndrome during follow-up. |

| Summary, etc. | L’approche thérapeutique devant une thrombose veineuse profonde distale isolée demeure empirique, du fait du manque de données concrètes sur l’histoire naturelle de la maladie et le bénéfice incertain du traitement anticoagulant. Un certain nombre d’articles portant spécifiquement sur cette thématique ont été publiés ces dernières années, qui ont notamment permis de mettre en lumière les populations de patients nécessitant l’instauration d’une anticoagulation, suivant un schéma pratiquement superposable à celui de la maladie thromboembolique proximale, en raison d’un risque accru d’évolution vers la propagation, l’embolie pulmonaire, la récidive et/ou le syndrome post-thrombotique. |
