| Summary, etc. | May-Thurner syndrome refers to compression of the left common iliac vein, between the right common iliac artery and the vertebral body. It carries risks of venous hyperplasia and thrombosis. This entity is extremely rare in the pediatric patients. We report the case of a 24-month-old child in whom left lower extremity swelling, led to the diagnosis of May-Thurner syndrome. We present a literature review of therapeutic strategies for this infrequent condition. |

| Summary, etc. | Le syndrome de May-Thurner fait référence à la compression de la veine iliaque commune gauche, entre l'artère iliaque primitive droite et le rachis vertébral. Il comporte des risques d'hyperplasie et de thrombose veineuse. Cette entité est extrêmement rare chez la population pédiatrique. Nous rapportons le cas d'un enfant de 24 mois, chez qui un œdème du membre inférieur gauche a conduit au diagnostic du syndrome de May-Thurner. Nous présentons une revue de littérature des stratégies thérapeutiques de cette affection peu fréquente. |
