| Summary, etc. | Le succès de Rommel comme tacticien, et parfois aussi comme stratège en Afrique du Nord, fut non seulement dû à son flair de tacticien (« Fingerspitzengefühl ») mais aussi et surtout à l’unité de Guerre électronique du Capitaine Seebohm qui lui permit de localiser en permanence les grandes unités adverses. Grâce à quelques confidences recueillies par les services secrets italiens il fut également informé dans leurs détails des comptes rendus de réunions entre les chefs britanniques du Caire auxquelles participait également ès qualité l’attaché militaire américain et qu’il retransmettait aux États-Unis en radio longue portée. Rommel lisait ses comptes rendus à livre ouverte et était informé également de l’ensemble des mouvements importants des brigades britanniques et du Commonwealth de février 1941 à juillet 1943 date de la destruction et de la neutralisation d’une grande partie de la 621e compagnie d’écoute et de localisation allemande. |

| Summary, etc. | The main success of Rommel as a tactician as well sometime also as a strategist in Northern Africa, was not only caused by his own intuition (« Fingerspitzengefühl ») but also and mainly by the role of his electronic warfare unit commanded by Captain Seebohm which allowed him to locate at any time the opposed Brigade units. Thanks to some crucial information gathered by Italian Intel Services Rommel was also informed about the detailed reports sent by US Military Attaché in Cairo after each of the meetings held by British high level Commanders he participated in and transmitted through long range radio assets. Rommel was able to read his reports and was hereby informed about any important move at British or Commonwealth Brigade level from February 1941 up to July 1943, the moment of the destructtion and neutralization of German 621st Listening and Locating Unit. |
