| Summary, etc. | Les éléments de géographie humaine se sont progressivement raréfiés dans les cartes produites par les géographes militaires. Cet article propose dans un premier temps de revenir sur cette évolution liée aux changements même de la nature des conflits. Il s’agira ensuite d’envisager dans quelle mesure une réintégration de ces éléments de géographie humaine pourrait être bénéfique pour la géographie militaire aujourd’hui et quels pourraient être leurs apports pour le renseignement militaire. Une illustration avec un exemple rétrospectif permettra enfin de confirmer ce besoin de géographie humaine pour les armées. |

| Summary, etc. | Elements of human geography have gradually disappeared from the maps produced by the military geography. To begin with, this article proposes to consider how this evolution is connected to the changes of the nature of the conflicts. Secondly, we will consider to what extent a return of these elements of human geography could be today beneficial for the military geography and what could be their contribution for the military intelligence. An illustration with a retrospective example will finally allow to confirm these needs of human geography for the armies. |
