| Summary, etc. | Les duels historiques (couramment nommés Arts martiaux historiques européens, ou AMHE) sont des formes d’affrontement martial qui renvoient à une période particulière et qui sont soumises à reconstitution et remise en vie. Les AMHE qui sont pris en compte dans cette étude renvoient à la fin de la période médiévale et au début du XVIe siècle. Il s’agit de présenter, à l’aide d’une approche mêlant observations participantes, méthodes quantitative et qualitative, comment ces arts du combat s’articulent entre filiation historique ou patrimoniale et rupture, permettant la réactivation de savoir-faire passés. À travers continuité et transformation, les arts martiaux historiques oscillent entre une recherche de sauvegarde de gestes appartenant au passé et une volonté de moderniser la démarche afin qu’elle s’inscrive dans le champ du loisir contemporain. Au final, ce qui importe est le sens accordé par chaque pratiquant aux nouvelles manières de faire qui autorisent plusieurs objectifs distincts, mais complémentaires. |

| Summary, etc. | Bringing duels of the 15th and 16th centuries to life: Historical European Martial Arts into the development of leisure-time offerHistorical duels are martial confrontations which are often called Historical European Martial Arts, or HEMA. They refer to a particular period and are subject to reenactment. HEMA in this study are from the 15th and 16th centuries. The aim is to present, from a socio-ethnological approach (participant observation, interviews and questionnaires), how these fighting arts are interconnected with a historical filiation and heritage. But there is also a break, that allows the reactivation of past skills. Through continuity and transformation, historical martial arts alternate between a will to perpetrate the skills of the past, and a will to modernize the approach, so as it can become a integral part of contemporary leisure-time activities. Finally, what is important is the sense that practitioners give to the activity: it allows participants to achieve different and sometimes complementary goals. |

| Summary, etc. | Revivir los duelos de los siglos XV y XVI: el lugar de las Artes marciales históricas europeas en la evolución de la oferta de tiempo libreLos duelos históricos (comúnmente llamados Artes marciales históricos europeos o AMHE) son formas de confrontación marcial que llevan a un período particular y son sometidos a una reconstitución y a una reanimación. Los AMHE que son tomados en cuenta en este estudio llevan al final del período medieval y a principios de siglo XVI. Se busca presentar, con la ayuda de un acercamiento que mezcla observaciones participativas, métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, cómo estas artes de combate se articulan entre filiación histórica o patrimonial y ruptura. Permitiendo la reactivación del conocimiento pasado. A través de la continuidad y de la transformación, las artes marciales históricas oscilan entre una búsqueda de salvaguarda de los gestos que pertenecen al pasado y una voluntad de modernizar la iniciativa, con el fin que se inscriba en el área del tiempo libre contemporáneo. Jahrhunderts wieder aufleben lassen: der Platz der historischen Kampfkünste in der Entwicklung des FreizeitangebotesDie historischen Duelle (üblicherweise europäische historische Kampfkünste genannt oder EHK) sind auf eine spezielle historische Epoche zurückgehende Kampfformen, die rekonstruiert und wiederbelebt werden. Die EHK, die bei dieser Untersuchung berücksichtigt werden, gehen auf die Zeit des Mittelalters und auf die Anfänge des 16. Jahrhunderts zurück. Mit Hilfe teilnehmender Beobachtungen sowie quantitativer und qualitativer Methoden geht es darum aufzuzeigen, wie diese Kampfkünste mit historischen und kulturellen Kontinuitäten bzw. Brüchen umgehen, um altes Wissen zu reaktivieren. Zwischen Kontinuität und Transformation schwanken die historischen Kampfkünste zwischen der Bewahrung der alten Bewegungen und dem Modernisierungswillen, der ihnen einen Platz im Bereich der heutigen Freizeitgestaltung zuweisen will. Was letztlich zählt, ist die Sinngebung, die jeder Akteur den neuen Macharten zuschreibt, die mehrere unterschiedliche aber komplementäre Ziele erlauben. |

| Summary, etc. | Fare rivivere i duelli del XV e XVI secolo: il posto delle Arti marziali storiche europee nell’evoluzione dell’offerta di loisirI duelli storici (correntemente chiamati Arti marziali storiche europee, o AMHE) sono delle forme di affronto marziale che rinviano ad un periodo particolare e che sono sottomesse alla ricostruzione e rimessa in vita. Gli AMHE che sono presi in considerazione in questo studio rinviano alla fine del periodo medievale e all’inizio del XVI secolo. Si tratta di presentare, con l’aiuto di un approccio mescolante osservazioni partecipanti, metodi quantitativo e qualitativo, come queste arti di combattimento si articolino tra filiazione storica o patrimoniale e rottura, permettente la riattivazione di saper-fare passati. Attraverso continuità e trasformazione, le arti marziali storiche oscillano tra una ricerca di salvaguardia di gesti appartenenti al passato ed una volontà di modernizzare il procedimento al fine di iscriversi nel campo del loisir contemporaneo. In definitiva, ciò che importa è il senso accordato da ciascun praticante alle nuove maniere di fare che autorizzano parecchi obiettivi distinti ma complementari. |
