| Summary, etc. | Les formules retenues par les grands États pour instituer une « force spatiale » dans le schéma des armées et des ministères de la Défense sont variées et ne suivent pas un modèle unique, comme cela avait été le cas pour les armées de l’air. Quelle est la raison de cette diversité et peut-on déceler des paramètres orientant la solution au dilemme institutionnel devant lequel sont placés les décideurs ? En examinant et comparant plusieurs cas de création de « forces spatiales » opérationnelles, cet article tente de lancer la piste d’indicateur permettant de comprendre les paramètres structurant le choix des décideurs politiques et des stratèges lorsqu’ils doivent doter leur armée d’entités dédiées à l’espace extra-atmosphérique et de leur périmètre de compétence. Il tente également d’apporter une réponse à une question paradoxale : le New Space serait-il l’âge d’une plus grande militarisation, après une longue période de « civilianisation » des programmes au tournant du siècle ? |

| Summary, etc. | The formulas chosen by the major states to institute " space forces" in the architecture of their armies and ministries of defence are diverse and do not follow a single pattern, as for the air forces. What is the reason for this diversity and can we detect parameters that guide the chosen solution to the institutional dilemma facing decision-makers? By examining and comparing several cases of creation of operational " space forces", this article attempts to detect some indicators allowing us to understand the parameters structuring the choice of political decision-makers and strategists when they have to equip their army with entities dedicated to outer space (and their perimeter of competence). It also attempts to provide an answer to a paradoxical question: is the New Space the age of greater "martilization", after a long period of "civilianization" of programs at the turn of the century? |
