| Summary, etc. | Il est sans doute anachronique et dangereux de tenter de rapprocher le peuple de Boulanger et celui de Le Pen même si les deux sont apparus pendant une grave crise sociale. Il reste qu'il apparaît bien des continuités dans le peuple réel qui soutient ces démagogues et dans les discours et images dans lesquels il se reconnaît. Peuple éloigné des centres urbains et des lieux de pouvoir, se sentant aux marges de la société, il est d'abord dénonciateur des dominants, politiciens, gros... Il accorde une grande importance à la dimension morale de la critique de la corruption (les voleurs...) et se différencie vivement de l'étranger. Ce peuple des populistes est aussi une traduction de la crise de la démocratie. |

| Summary, etc. | It is surely anachronistic and critical to try to compare the people of Boulanger and the people of Le Pen, even though they both appeared during an important social crisis. Nevertheless, there is a lot of continuities in the actual people supporting these demagogues and in the speeches and images in which they identify themselves. This « people » is far from the urban centers, and far from the power places; feeling themselves on the fringe of society, they, at once, accuse the powerful persons, the politicians, the important ones... They yield a great importance to the moral fact of criticizing the corruption and they are quite different from foreign peoples. This populist people is also a proof of the crisis of the democracy. |
