Summary, etc. | Cet article a pour objet de rendre compte des fortes difficultés rencontrées par les directeurs d’école primaire en France dans la mise en œuvre quotidienne de leur mission, celle-ci étant en partie parasitée par l’inattendu. Ces difficultés trouvent leur source autour de trois foyers distincts : la demande institutionnelle qui de part des réformes successives alourdit leur charge de travail, l’activité au quotidien faite d’incertitudes et la manière dont les acteurs vivent et réagissent face à cet ensemble. C’est la manière dont ce rapport à l’incertain a une incidence sur leur professionnalité qui est au cœur de cette réflexion. |

Summary, etc. | The purpose of this article is to report about major difficulties encountered by primary school principals in France in the daily implementation of their mission, which is partly parasitized by unexpected. These difficulties stem from three distinct sources : institutional demand, which, as a result of successive reforms, adds to their workload, day-to-day activity of uncertainty, and how primary school actors live and react to it. It shows how this relationship to the uncertainty impacts their professional profile. |
