| Summary, etc. | En février 1986, Mikhaïl Gorbatchev annonce son projet de Nouvelle Pensée. De 1986 à 1991, cette approche originale remet en question la ligne traditionnelle de la politique extérieure soviétique. Au plan théorique, la Nouvelle Pensée met fin au dogmatisme idéologique et signe l’adaptation des principes fondateurs du marxisme-léninisme au monde qui l’entoure. Au plan pratique, les actions politiques qui lui furent associées dans la seconde moitié des années 1980 bouleversèrent l’ordre mondial et remirent en question la stratégie globale de Moscou. Ce tournant gorbatchévien ne peut être compris sans le replacer dans un temps plus long et sans étudier les influences l’ayant rendu possible : celles des hommes et des réseaux, situés à la charnière des mondes politiques et scientifiques soviétiques, proposant depuis le milieu des années 1950 de nouvelles approches pour conduire les relations internationales. |

| Summary, etc. | In February, the CPUS leader Mikhail Gorbachev announces his project of New Thinking. Between 1986 and 1991, this innovative approach challenges the old way to think international relations. In theory, the New Thinking overthrows the ideological dogmatism and adapts the founding principles of Marxism-Leninism to the present. On the practical side, the political actions undertaken on the behalf of « New Thinking » in the second half of the eighties turned the world order upside down and challenged Moscow’s global strategy. Only a long term approach enables to understand the « Gorbachev turning point », as well as it reveals the influence of men and networks belonging to both scientific and political elite, who since the second half of the 1950’s generated alternative approaches to guide international relations. |
