| Summary, etc. | À la toute fin du xixe siècle, la Russie tsariste obtient de la Chine de faire passer son chemin de fer transsibérien par une concession en Mandchourie. Trop éloignés de leurs bases européennes, les ingénieurs russes décident de recourir à des coolies chinois pour bâtir cette voie. Les rapports qui s’établissent autour de ce nœud mandchourien interrogent autant l’étude des migrations que l’histoire impériale dans le contexte d’un renouvellement du traitement sanitaire des épidémies. |

| Summary, etc. | At the very end of the 19th century, tsarist Russia obtains from China the right to make its Transsiberian railroad go through a concession in Manchuria. Too far removed from their european grounds, the Russian engineers decide to hire Chinese coolies to build this railway. The relationships that arise around this manchurian nexus question both migration studies and imperial history in the context of a renewed sanitary treatment of epidemics. |
