| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe Parti communiste français a ouvert les archives de sa direction en 1994, mettant à la disposition de la recherche un patrimoine unique dans le panorama des partis politiques français. En parallèle avec le traitement de ces documents, une importante collection d’affiches illustrées, éditées par le PCF de 1945 à nos jours, est en cours de constitution. Support privilégié de la propagande de ce parti, elles apportent un complément original à l’étude de l’histoire du mouvement communiste français, de sa propagande, de la « culture militante », etc. Ainsi, depuis fin 1998, sauvegarde, reproduction photographique et mise en place d’un inventaire analytique informatisé ont été menées de front. La première phase d’inventaire, couvrant la période 1945-années Soixante, est en voie d’achèvement. Le traitement des affiches publiées dans les années Soixante-dix Quatre-vingt-dix est en cours. Cette entreprise de longue haleine aboutit aujourd’hui à une base de données alliant niveaux de recherche multiples, notices d’inventaire détaillées (intégrant renseignements techniques et documentaires) et reproduction numérisée de l’affiche. |

| Summary, etc. | The French Communist Party opened its head office’s archives in 1994, putting at the disposal of research a unique heritage with regards to French political parties. In parallel with the treatment of these documents, an important collection of illustrated posters, published by the FCP from 1945 on, is being constituted. As a privileged medium of the Party’s propaganda, they bring an original complement to the study of the history of the French communist movement, of its propaganda, of its “militant culture”, etc. Thus, since the end of 1998, saving, photographing and creating a computerised analytical inventory have been carried out at once. The first phase of the inventory, covering the period from 1945 to the 1960’s is almost finished. The treatment of the posters published during the 1970’s-1990’s is on the go. This long term venture leads to a data base allowing multiple levels of research, detailed inventory files (including technical and documentary information) and digitalised reproduction of posters. |
