Le texte analyse la mutation, progressive puis brutale, d'une expérience pédagogique hors norme : le collège expérimental Anne Frank au Mans.La structure, née en 2001, produit de l'implication chez les élèves, leur bien-être dans l'institution, du savoir. Trois ans « avant mutation », la déstabilisation commence. Les discours institutionnels à propos du collège sont positifs, mais, au nom de mises aux normes, le projet est amputé de possibilités importantes. Un projet de déménagement est imposé à l’équipe en dépit du refus d’une partie des enseignants, et des difficultés que cela suscite. Un an « avant mutation », une reprise en main brutale de la structure s'opère : c’est la fin de la collégialité, le retour à une forme hiérarchique particulièrement violente, l'abandon du projet qui venait d'être validé par le recteur, et l’exclusion des membres de l'équipe favorables au maintien du projet originel.Une analyse des forces et faiblesses internes au projet est proposée ainsi qu'une articulation avec les nouveaux choix politiques exercés sur l'expérimentation.

The text analyses the gradual then abrupt mutation of a non-standard educational experiment: the Anne Frank experimental high-school in Le Mans.The structure, created in 2001, produces involvement of students in the structure, well-being of students within the institution and knowledge. Three years before « the mutation », the destabilization starts. The institutional statement about the school is positive but, in the name of rules implementation, the project is cut down from many important possibilities. A relocation plan is imposed to the team despite its refusal from one part of the teachers and the difficulties it engenders. One year before « the mutation » a brutal take-over is carried out: it is the end of the collegial structure, the return of a most violent hierarchical structure, the rejection of the project which was just approved by the education authority and the expulsion of the team members in favor of maintaining the original plan.We propose an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses internal to the project as well as an articulation with the new political choices upon the experiment.
