RésuméCette interview rend compte d'une recherche réalisée en milieu hospitalier à partir d'entretiens portant sur le traitement des mails. Ceux-ci ont conduit à découvrir d'autres outils numériques qui transforment radicalement l'organisation du travail entre les médecins et les assistantes. L'auteur formule l'hypothèse que le mail peut être un petit objet sociologique intéressant donnant accès à l'activité d'une organisation comme aux transformations du travail.

Paradoxical effects of digital practices on workplace transformation in a university hospitalThis interview relates to hospital research focusing on the perceptions of email handling amongst staff. The research has led to the discovery of other digital tools which have radically transformed work organization between doctors and assistants. The author formulates the hypothesis that email handling is of some small sociological interest because it offers a window onto organizational activity and transformation in the workplace.
