Teaching “standards management” to manage normative inflation

The phenomenon of inflation of standards is a challenge for companies that need to know, integrate, and, above all, manage them. It is partly taken into account in courses at universities and business schools. It would be desirable to reflect on future courses that could better prepare managers for “standards management.” They could give a competitive advantage to companies with players that are better able to connect standards to their organizations and strategic decisions.
