"Professorenkriegsliteratur"
Type de matériel :
23
It is not surprising that many professors were patriotic in siding with their country, Germany, when the First World War broke out. It is however surprising that very early on this patriotic literature that became propaganda went against their philosophical convictions compelling some of them to such extremes that the war seemed to be an almost divine ordeal wherein death played a welcome sacrificial and purification role leading to Gnosticism.
